Bio:

Lucy Kay Simoneit (b. 1998) is a nomadic artist and writer. Primarily making paintings with oil pigments and wax, Lucy’s practice extends across drawing, printmaking, and collage. She holds an MFA in Painting with a Printmaking concentration from the New York Academy of Art (2023), where she was awarded participation in the Kylemore Abbey Artist Residency in Galway, Ireland. Lucy graduated with her BFA from Cornell University (2020), studying Fine Art alongside religious studies, ancient cultures, and art history. At Cornell, she was the recipient of the Elsie Dinsmore Popkin Painting Award in 2020 and the Kip Brady Prize for Printmaking in 2018. Simoneit’s work has been exhibited at Manifest Gallery (Cincinnati, OH), Paul Scott Gallery (Scottsdale, AZ), and the Print Center New York (NYC), amongst others. She also presented a two-person exhibition, Charted Territory, at the Grand Bohemian Gallery (Greenville, SC). While primarily based in New Hampshire, Lucy maintains a peripatetic studio practice across the United States. Experiences across various terrains inform her exploration of the spiritual and psychological dimensions of landscape, myth, and consciousness.

Lucy is also a certified yoga teacher, having completed 200 hours in Vinyasa Yoga with Jamie Surya in Piermont NY, and 20 hours in Prenatal Yoga with Gila Shire in Phoenix AZ.
